Locate the source, relieve the symptom

Welcome

Bodycraft has been offering Osteopathy in Tunbridge Wells since 2006, combining osteopathy, clinical pilates and exercise rehabilitation to help you manage your pain, discomfort, illness, injury or rehabilitation. Both disciplines, Osteopathy and Clinical Pilates, are holistic approaches and consider postural, medical and lifestyle influences in their assessment and management.

The time will be tailored to you and may involve osteopathic treatment and/or functional exercise to match your needs and will continue to evolve over the course of time as your needs change. Our goal is to offer you a rounded approach to getting you back to feeling well and moving well.

Helping you feel better

Our aim is to understand what is causing your health issue and offer you treatment and rehabilitation based on an accurate diagnosis and a tailored plan. Ultimately our goal is to find a way to make you more comfortable and we will be happy to recommend alternative options or refer to other health professionals if required.

Although osteopaths are well known for treating back pain, the practice of osteopathy can help relieve the symptoms of a wide range of conditions. Osteopaths treat joint pain, neuromuscular conditions, digestive conditions, headaches and migraine prevention. We are also fully qualified to assess and prescribe exercise so that any rehabilitative exercise will be personally geared to you, your injury and your ability. We work towards effective, permanent results with guidance so that you can understand what is going on to help you to be in control.

About Us

Claire started Bodycraft in 2006, in Tunbridge Wells working from her first studio in the High Street and two large physiotherapy and osteopathy clinics in the town centre. Initially, she worked with private clients predominantly with back pain referred to her from the clinic or local orthopaedic specialists.

Over the years as the client base grew, their requirements grew, which created an interest in further study and qualifications – osteopathy, clinical pilates, neuromuscular movement education, neurodynamics and pain management, myofascial release and craniosacral therapy.

Now her practice offers treatment and rehabilitation based on neuroscience, biomechanics, psychology and rehabilitation methods sourced from her varied trainings, looking to help the body function well so that it can recover and be comfortable. It’s a simple approach, that involves understanding what is the cause rather than the problem, with treatment and exercise to provide a way to feel more comfortable,  move better and feel in control. The practice covers Tunbridge wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Crowborough, Wadhurst, Edenbridge, and Paddock Wood.

Claire qualified with a Masters in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO). Alongside the osteopathic curriculum she spent additional time in the women’s health, chronic pain and headache clinics. She has attended post graduate courses in Visceral Osteopathy and a two-year Diploma in Craniosacral techniques. She continues to be involved in osteopathic learning, having assisted on the cranial diploma and now as an assistant tutor at the ESO in Osteopathic Skills.

Claire is also a fully certified Stott Pilates instructor having completed her training and examination over two years in the USA and Canada. Following this she has gone on to complete numerous post graduate courses in exercise rehabilitation.
